- Select social media channels and check their capability of putting multi-languages.
- Consider the amount of time you can devote to managing the account. Creating separate accounts per language means double the work, including analyzing and managing each account, scheduling, inbox management, and more.
- Decide whether to create separate accounts or include all languages in one caption, but keep in mind that captions with over three languages may have word limits and be challenging for your global audience to understand your content.
- Decide one MAIN language to deliver your content. Others will serve the content as sub-languages – such as if there is no space to put those languages in the picture, put them just in a caption.
- Plan and decide the format of your content – If you plan to deliver videos with verbal speaking in over three languages, it may be better to have a separate account but if you only plan to deliver videos in one to three languages, writing a summary in the caption can be a strategy for your business.
- Prepare hashtags per language and implement a 3 X 3 hashtags strategy. 1) 1-3 hashtags for who you serve 2) 1-3 hashtags for what you offer 3) 1-3 hashtags for what’s their pain point
- Be creative – Flick (hashtags tool) or other digital tools sometimes don’t work for your language/country. So be sure to be creative when it comes to creating content.
- Do not worry – The algorithm works well if you use keywords per language in your caption as well as hashtags. My clients and my business have built an audience globally with these strategies.
- You will eventually expand your business globally. Just find the right content to serve them!
